We can give you help with everything from building permits, contact with authorities, lighting solutions and renovations to building your new dream home.
We work with villa projects not only in the Stockholm area but also in Skåne and on Gotland.
The office collaborates with constructors when needed.

LISA´S WORLD- Fish and shellfishtheme
”Lisa´s world” is a unique collection of 15 laminated glass art photographs created especially for restaurant Lisa Elmqvist restaurant. The images are an exposé of views photographed through a selection of unique cast glass by the artist and architect Jeanette Karsten. The images are taken through light reflections in the glass works, which creates dramatic elements. The glass works contain selected fragments and gives associations to shellfish and fish themes. In addition to the fact that the images are transparent dividers in the interior of the restaurant with different functions, they create a strong identity for Lisa Elmqvist.

BRF NORRGÅRD
The housing cooperative Brf. Norrgård needed a total renovation. The houses were renovated in the 80´s and had totally lost the character from when they were built in 1907. Arkdeko was commisioned to recreate the apartmentbuildings in a Art Nouveau spirit.
As there was no model for what it looked like from the beginning Arkdeko was given free rein to recreate a character that corresponded to the time when it was built. Self designed element protections, new colours, new armatures and many details contributed to the house regaining its splendor from 1907.

VILLA IN NACKA
Complete renovation, addition of a second floor, new floor plans, new materials, windows and facades are just a few examples of what was done for this private villa in Nacka. In this project, Arkdeko strived to create a modern expression with light and airy spaces. A total makeover from its previous identity.

SKATTEVERKET
A new concept for the head office”Skatteverket” (the Swedish tax agency) was made where the idea was to find a solution on how to create more space for new functional needs. An unused courtyard now became a part of the inside area and an IT- café for meetings and other functions. We created a roof construction made of glass to create new space which was needed since the building was overcrowded. In addition, one of the main tasks was how to find effective meeting points on the different floors where the employees were having their office areas.

RIDDARSPORREN
Arkdeko was asked to renovate 30 entrances and stairwells for the housing cooperative Brf. Riddarsporren in Stockholm. The entrances were originally from the 70’s and had poor lighting, color scheme etc. They were in great need for refurbishment. In order to lighten up the entrances we gave it new space by removing excess sheet metal from the ceilings, adding new lighting solutions, colors, new elevators and more. We wanted to integrate the rich history of the neighborhood into this project as well as the whole area many years earlier had been a great and well known brewery, ”Hamburger bryggeriet”. This became an essential and well appreciated part of this project as well. The result was that we created historical collages in the ceilings with pictures from this time together with new illustrations.

From a raw attic to a dream apartment in Stockholm. New floor plan, custom-built solutions, bar furnishings, materials, lighting and more were needed to create this unique bespoke home. Trompe L'oeil's details were created to give the impression of more space. A wish from the customer was to create a work of art associated with his interests in riding and integrate it into the architecture of the new apartment. The result was a golden "horse rider" placed behind a specially built glass wall, illuminated with fiber lighting in front of a preserved stone wall in the bathroom.
VILLA IN TÄBY
In this project, our customer needed help with a complete renovation, new floor plans, new expression and more space. Addition of a second floor as well as extension, new materials, windows, roofs and facades and more to create this unique house. In this project, the goal was to create a minimalist and modern identity. The result was a playful house with light and airy spaces. From being a small yellow house from the 50's, it now became a nice black house with clean lines.

Summerhouse on the Island of Gotland where the client was a private family.
Built with the finest scandinavian materials. For example wood from Gotland and Swedish tin roof is used. Well- thought out solutions. The house is built on a lovely plot among pine trees with the sea very close.

BRF BECKASINEN
Four new stairwells were created for the housing cooperative Brf. Beckasinen in Stockholm. The apartment buildings that originally was from the 70’s needed new life. In this project our ambition was to integrate nature inside and the creation of a bird theme was a wish coming from the customer. To enhance the effect and create a pleasant atmosphere, a sound system with hidden sensors in the suspended ceilings were added to the project. The sound consists of bird sounds, various selected birds and a rippling stream specially made for this project. Combining the sight- and hearing senses in this way creates a feeling of entering a new world. New lighting, suspended ceilings, color scheme, special paintings, glass tiles on the walls and more were added. We created Trompe L'oeil effects through painting techniques, lighting and mirrors.

In this project, a raw attic was transformed into a dream apartment with exclusive special solutions, lighting and colors. A sauna, a spa and playful spaces are just some of the facilities that resulted in this unique home. Sustainable materials in combination with a floor plan that ensures that every square meter is used to the maximum. A tower room with a specially designed starry sky and blue fiber lighting above the jacuzzi was a appreciated element in this project. The toilet was hidden to enhance the exclusive spa feel.
